Space - Su Song Intro
A week of research and help from our native-born Chinese artist allowed me to craft the narrative backbone that drove the entire piece. She and I designed the hand painted scroll, papercraft scene, floating lanterns, and historical artifacts which fell into place seamlessly.
It was an honor to learn about and create something meaningul that resepcted such a rich culture and history.

When Illuminarium opened a new venue in Macau, China, we were tasked with creating a bespoke, 3 minute long intro to localize the project and highlight the prolific asstronomical achievements of China, specifically the polymath Su Song.
Told on a giant scroll that wraps around the audience is the story from the first star-guided naviagators to the launch of China's Long March 5 rocket.
